Before House of Tides reached the Paris runway, its biggest challenge was already clear: the pearls and gemstones had to become part of the clothing.
For VIEA’s founders , Devi and Rhea, that meant approaching the collection differently. Jewelry would influence the garment itself, shaping the design and moving with the body.

Across seven looks, fabric, beadwork and silhouette had to work together.
Presented at Paris Fashion Week SS27, House of Tides brought that idea into view.
Behind the finished collection was artistry and resources meticulously sought after across Asia. From the careful sourcing of raw gemstones in Guangzhou, to sourcing the most beautiful pearls from the pearl capital of the world, Zhuji, China and finally to the detailed work of our Filipino artisan in Cebu, Philippines.

Making pearls part of the garment
A pearl placed on fabric changes more than its appearance. Its weight and position introduce new questions about how the garment will sit, hold its shape and move.
Those questions were central to the ambition behind House of Tides. The collection called for pearls and gemstones to become part of the entire look, with their placement considered alongside the silhouette.

Designed in Las Vegas and handcrafted in Cebu, Philippines, House of Tides features pearl embroidery and gemstone beadwork by Filipino artisan, John Luman-ag. Hours of hand-beading and embroidery brought texture to each garment, giving VIEA’s signature materials a new role in fashion.
